The first year IDEA BOOK.


For me, life—and art—is definitely not just a “Piece of Cake.” I used to stick to traditional illustration and storytelling, but this year at MICA, I’ve ventured into new and exciting territories. I’ve experimented with stop motion, GIFs, riso printing, artist books, merchandise, and picture books. I’ve also fallen in love with new skills like sewing, ceramics, and working with clay. Each new experience has been like tasting a different flavor of cake—unexpected, fresh, and utterly delightful.
